In order to memorialize these powerful events that changed labor laws in this country, I created a parade float that will illustrate some major scenes from the strikes that took place in San Francisco. The parade float was performed along the Embarcadero leading to Market Street. The Embarcadero was the scene of many heated conflicts and demonstration. The float proceeded along Market Street and stopped across the street from City Hall. Four days after Bloody Thursday, several thousand strikers, families and sympathizers took part in a funeral procession for the slain strikers down Market Street that stretched more than a mile and a half.

Performance: June 20, 2009, Market Street, San Francisco CA.
