As a white male, I deal with stereotypes about my dreams, desires and goals in life. As an artist, I’m often at odds with these stereotypes that others often use to define me. As I pulled the caricature style float illustrating the white male’s supposed sexism and money hunger through the Financial District, I challenged the viewers’ perception of the white male American. I asked whether we should be celebrating or condemning his goals and whether these goals should continue to define me.
