is a unique and innovative local arts education program that puts students from diverse backgrounds in touch with artists and other professionals in a variety of fields.
On April 18th, ArtSeed held its Art-a-thon Fundraiser, a marathon of creativity where participants were challenged to create as much art as possible for as long as they could last. The San Francisco Community Corner Store (SFCCS) was brought to the event to be used as a canvas for a spray painting workshop led
by artist Kyle Lee
. Other workshops that day, including stenciling, monotype, casting, clay sculpture and figure drawing, were also led by local artists.
The SFCCS will be used to feature the art created at this event and through other
ArtSeed programs as it travels to different festivals and events throughout the city
to highlight the mission and outcomes of this wonderful organization. The SFCCS
will be used in the future to bring the work of other nonprofits into the community.
